The Unifier brings control of up to 8 individual A/V units into a single, user-friendly and affordable package that delivers performance and features usually found in expensive, complex remote systems.
As extraordinary as the Unifier is from a performance point of view, what is equally remarkable is the fact that the Unifier does all this and a lot more at a $100.00 manufacturer's suggested retail price. The Unifier is the entry-level model in a product range of three breakthrough new retail products from Universal Remote Control, including the Automator™ (URC-200) and the Customizer™ (URC-300), all of which can be coupled with the Expander MRF-100 RF base station receiver. The three units represent an entirely new market tier, between those systems costing hundreds of dollars and used with high-end home theater installations, and the sub-$25.00 remote control market.
The Unifier "unifies" the access control of as many as 8 audio and video entertainment system components including TV, Plasma TV, DVD players, A/V receivers, amplifiers and more, throughout the home or office, indoors or outdoors. The Unifier comes equipped with an internal library of over 1,000 pre-programmed codes to operate the wide range of entertainment devices on the market today and offers full control over more advanced home entertainment functions such as Video-On-Demand and Digital Video Recorders (DVRs).
Programming the Unifier is intuitive and the unit also comes with a DVD tutorial, so it's anything but intimidating for the users. The Unifier's unique DoubleTap Learning™ feature can accurately reproduce programming from any other remote with two simple key presses, or if needed, programming can be accomplished using the pre-programmed codes stored within Unifier's 1 Mbit memory library.
The Unifier IR range is up to 60 feet and the RF range is between 70 to 100 feet when used along with the optional MRF-100 RF base station. Commands are simultaneously transmitted via IR and RF signals to penetrate through walls, floors and reach out-of-sight equipment. When the Unifier is used with the MRF-100 - consumers do not need to "point and click"-they just "click"!
The Unifier also looks great, with an easily readable and customizable 1 1/4 x 3/8-inch LCD screen and its metallic finish was designed to fit in with the aesthetics of contemporary home theater and entertainment systems. All the buttons on the LCD screen and remote keypad are electro-florescent illuminated when the light button is pressed. The Automator can replace up to 10 home entertainment remote control units and when paired with the optional Expander™ MRF-100 RF base station receiver, it can do so for A/V equipment located anywhere in a house - through walls, doors and floors.
The Automator is the second of three new, highly functional, affordably-priced remote control systems unveiled at CES by Universal Remote Control, Inc. The Automator, along with the Unifier™ (URC-100) and Customizer™ (URC-300) remote control systems, bring high-end power to a significantly greater range of users by delivering professional-grade performance at a fraction of the cost. At a manufacturer's suggested list price of $150.00, the Automator performs more like a professional-grade remote control. Its well-lit and easy-to-read 7/8 x 1 7/8 inch LCD screen can be adjusted to increase or decrease contrast and duration of lighting.
URC-200 operation of up to 10 different components is made easy by using two scrollable screen pages, each with five device selections to choose from. Once a device has been selected, the user can choose from 34 hard buttons that can be dedicated to control component functions pre-programmed in the Automator's internal memory consisting of thousands of codes. The Automator also has learning capability so that complete and accurate reproduction of the original remote control codes can be applied to Automator button commands. In addition, the Automator can be easily "cloned" to a second Automator in less than two minutes so that a perfect copy of the original can be programmed and ready-to-go for use in a different location.
