URC-100 Unifier Features:
Controls 8 devices: Any mix of audio/video components may be controlled with the URC-100. Default categories include Audio, Aux, Cable, CD, DVD, DVR, LDP, Lighting, Phono, Satellite, Tape, TV and VCR.
LCD screen: A small LCD screen at the top of the screen shows the currently active device and assists with setup.
Hard buttons: The URC-100 includes a total of 53 hard buttons, 43 of which are user programmable for each device. 8 hard buttons select devices, 1 enables or disables the backlight, while 1 other is for remote operation.
Menu joystick: A new “gamepad”-style menu cursor joystick is provided on the URC-200, with 4-way direction ring and center [Select] button.
Complete backlighting: The URC-100 features an aqua green electroluminescent backlight that illuminates the LCD screen and all hard buttons. The backlight automatically shuts off after 10 seconds of inactivity.
Full learning: The URC-100 can store up to 43 commands for each of its 10 devices - along with shifted keys up to 424 learned commands. Signal frequencies can range from 15 to 100kHz.
Shifted commands: Each button under each device can have a secondary “shifted” command – some are pre-programmed, the rest can be learned – activated by pressing the [Shift] key followed by the button with the secondary function.
Preprogrammed database: The URC-100 includes a large onboard database of preprogrammed codes for use with a wide variety of devices, which can be entered by direct code number or discovered during code search. Available device categories include amplifiers, cable boxes, CD players, DVD players, DVRs, LD players, lighting, preamps, receivers, satellite receivers, tape decks, televisions, TV/VCR combos and VCRs.
Editable LCD labels: Each of the 8 available devices can feature a customizable 5-character name.
Macros: The two [Power] hard buttons on each device can feature a 50-step macro referencing any command from any device. 0.5 second delays can also be added between steps.
Device macros: Each device can have a 50-step macro assigned to it. This macro can be selected to transmit immediately whenever the device is selected, or only transmit when the button is held for a specific period of time.
Punchthroughs: Volume, channel, transport, menu and power commands can be individually “punched through” on a device-by-device basis.
RF capabilities: Through the optional MRF-100A RF extender, the URC-100 can control infrared-based components off to the side, behind doors or even in other rooms, from up to 50-100 feet away.
URC-200 Automator Features:

LCD screen: A 2.0" diagonal LCD screen with dot-matrix labels provides 5-character names for 5 adjacent hard buttons. Up to 8 LCD pages are available for each device, providing a total of 40 LCD-labelled hard buttons. The LCD never shuts off – it’s always active. LCD contrast levels are adjustable digitally.
Hard buttons: The URC-200 includes a total of 44 hard buttons, 39 of which are user programmable for each device. 1 hard button enables or disables the backlight, while a further 4 are for remote operation.
Menu joystick: A new “gamepad”-style menu cursor joystick is provided on the URC-200, with 4-way direction ring and center [Select] button.
