Welcome to day four of Remote Central’s
Week of Advanced PlayStation 3 Control! Each day this week we’re bringing you a new review for one of six sophisticated infrared-to-Bluetooth adapters that offer universal remote control owners uncompromising control over their Sony PS3 game console. Whether you use the system as a Blu-ray disc player, a music player, a video streamer or even an actual game system, these advanced converters offer you from-the-couch convenience to turn the PS3 on and off, along with a full complement of 51 different functions.
The model reviewed today just hit the market within the last couple of days – it’s the Logitech Harmony Adapter for PlayStation 3, otherwise known more succinctly as model E-R0001. Logitech’s solution is the least expensive all-in-one model, but it’s also been designed primarily for Harmony universal remote owners. However with a little effort, it can be made to work with most computer programmable remotes.
Stay turned each day this week for the next segment in our review, culminating on Friday with both the final adapter and our conclusion!
