Home Theater Master MX-700 & MX-800 Features:
Full computer programmability: The MX-700 remote control must be configured in conjunction with the MX Editor software package. The remote features an RS232 serial port for communications.
Controls 20 devices: Absolutely any mix of devices may be controlled with the MX-700 remote control.
All hard buttons: The MX-700 includes a total of 48 hard buttons, 44 of which are user programmable in each device. One hard button is for enabling the backlight, while a further three are for remote operation.
Menu joystick: A fully customizable 5-way "gamepad"-style joystick is provided on the MX-700.
LCD screen: A large 2.3" diagonal LCD screen with dot-matrix labels provides 5-character names for 10 surrounding buttons. Up to four LCD pages are available for each device, providing a total of 40 LCD hard buttons. The LCD never shuts off - it's always active. LCD contrast levels are adjustable on the fly.
Complete backlighting: The MX-700 features an aqua green colored electroluminescent backlight that covers all hard buttons and the entire LCD screen. Backlight timeout can be configured from 0 (only on when button is pressed) to 99 seconds of inactivity, or disabled completely.
Full learning: The MX-700 can store up to 74 commands for each of its 20 devices, plus a further 20 learned commands assigned to each device and 34 on the Main Menu – that’s 1534 learned functions! Signal frequencies can range from 10 to 100kHz. Learning can be semi-automated in MX Editor to automatically save the captured signal and move on to the next device.
Preprogrammed database: The MX-700 includes a huge database of preprogrammed codes for a wide variety of devices. Devices are selected via brand and code number dropdowns. In addition, some codes have been cross-referenced with applicable device and remote model numbers.
Editable LCD labels: Each of the 20 available devices can feature a customizable 5-character name. In addition, 40 LCD-adjacent buttons for each device can also have 5-character names, plus a further 50 customizable Favorite Channel names.
Macros: Any LCD position, plus the two [Power] hard buttons, can feature a 190-step macro referencing any command from any device. MX Editor makes macros particularly easy to enter and edit. Customizable delays from 0.1 to 30.0 seconds can be inserted between each step, with a page jump at the end.
Device macros: Each device can have a 190-step macro assigned to it. This macro can be selected to transmit immediately whenever the device is selected, or only transmit when the button is held for a specific period of time.
Dual-command buttons: Each LCD button can have a macro plus a preprogrammed or learned command assigned to it. When the button is pressed, the individual signal is sent. When held, the macro is transmitted.
Favorite channel macros: Accessed from a dedicated [FAV] button, five LCD screens worth of buttons can each hold a full-featured 190-step macro.
Punchthroughs: Volume, channel, transport and keypad commands can be individually "punched through" on a device-by-device basis.
Aliases: Any button from any device can reference another button’s assigned commands or macro.
Edit LCD buttons: Buttons and their attached commands can be easily rearranged between any of a specific device’s four LCD pages.
Remove unused pages: A device can have between one and four active pages. In addition, pages containing “only macro referenced” commands can be hidden from view.
Share files: MX Editor supports two file formats: MXF files are complete systems, with devices, labels, preprogrammed codes, learned signals and macros, while MXD files only contain a single device that can be quickly merged with a system file.
Supplementary onboard setup: The MX-700 now features basic onboard setup for preprogrammed codes, learning and favorite channel macros.
Strong IR transmission: Two powerful IR emitters enable the MX-700 to outshine the IR range and spread of almost all original remote controls.
Low battery warning: When battery levels are low, the MX-700 will display a "LOW BATTERY" message each time the [POWER] button is pressed or the Setup Menu is accessed.
Home Theater Master MX-800 Adds:
RF capabilities: Through the included MRF-200 RF transceiver, the MX-800 can control infrared-based components off to the side, behind doors or even in other rooms, from up to 75-100 feet away.
Discrete device control: The MRF-200’s six wired IR ports can be individually addressed, permitting discrete control of identical components that would otherwise respond to each others commands. In addition to the IR emitter ports, the MRF-200 features a wide-area IR blaster with 6 emitters.
Expandable RF: Up to 16 MRF-200 transceivers can be operated from one MX-800 remote control.
MX-200 SideKick Features:
Holds anything the MX-700 can: Each of the MX-200’s 11 hard buttons can hold anything that one of the MX-700’s buttons can, from learned signals to macros.
Full computer programmability: the MX-200 must be configured with the MX Editor software package. The remote features an RS232 serial port for communications.
Full backlighting: The MX-200 features yellow LEDs to illuminate all of its hard buttons. The backlight timeout setting is automatically copied from the MX-700.
