Interested in what the folks from RTI will be showing next week at CEDIA? We’ve just been sent this early sneak peak at six – count ’em six – new products.

First there’s three new remotes, starting with the T3-V which takes the existing T3 handheld color LCD and wraps it in the sophisticated design of the T2-C – which has itself been improved to a new T2-Cs model. Then there’s the LCD-based U2, which is a waterproof version of the M2. Other new hardware from RTI includes the ZM-24 Zigbee transceiver, the RKM-1 in-wall keypad, and the MRP-64 multi-zone system.

The addition of wireless Ethernet and a built-in web browser allows the user to access web pages, IP-addressable devices and utilize IP control for web based integration applications. Like never before, the T3-V places powerful, stylish control in the palm of your hand.

The modern media room needs a remote control that can do it all – provide reliable control of the entire system while remaining easy to use. The T2-Cs answers the call with a customizable color display and a full complement of hard buttons for frequently used functions. The T2-Cs is loaded with unique features like a three-way rocker switch that allows the user to scroll through music lists or navigate on-screen menus on the media room TV. Sleek and perfectly balanced, the T2-Cs is smaller and more ergonomic than any color touchscreen remote available.

Ingenious, a waterproof universal controller. The U2 is designed for reliable wireless control of audio/video systems from environments which are too harsh for normal remote controls. It is completely sealed, making it both waterproof and floating. The U2 combines the convenience of eight programmable “soft” buttons with an LCD display and the ideal selection of commonly used keypad buttons. The high contrast display can be customized with any combination of text and graphics desired. This provides a simple and flexible interface for operating today’s sophisticated electronic systems, regardless of the location. The U2 is a perfect companion for hot tubs, pools, bathrooms, and decks.

The perfect accessory for RTI’s handhelds is the new ZM-24 Zigbee® Transceiver Module, which provides bi-directional communication between two-way enabled RTI remote controls and control processors utilizing Zigbee wireless communication. Capable of being configured in two different modes, the ZM-24 can be hard-wired directly to a control processor as the coordinator or be used as a wireless repeater device to create an ultra-reliable, self-healing “mesh” network.

A Powerful Multi-Room Control Duo Debuts:

The RKM-1 is a simple, intuitive keypad designed for flush-mount installations in walls or cabinets. Designed for multi-room audio control, the RKM-1’s open architecture provides the flexibility to control almost any multi-zone receiver or distributed audio system. Sized for a single-gang electrical box, the RKM-1 incorporates eight fully-programmable hard buttons and a customizable LED film which provides feedback of power status, selected source, and volume level.

The MRP-64 embraces a new concept in distributed audio by acting as the interface between today’s multi-zone audio/video receiver and an assortment of RTI in-wall and handheld controllers. Never before has such a robust distributed audio system been possible at such an affordable price. The MRP-64 allows the homeowner to take full advantage of the multi-zone features built into their surround receiver – expanding the entertainment beyond the media room. With the MRP-64 all of the audio/video sources from the media room can now be accessed anywhere in the home with the simple touch of a button.
