DVD review: I've posted my new
review of the
Star Trek: Insurrection
DVD by Paramount. Any Sci-Fi fan will want to consider this disc for their library.
Pronto news: It would appear that Philips has launched a new, better web site for the
Pronto on their SmartConnect site at http://pronto.svcs.com.
Although there's not much there yet (hey, there is a link to yours truly!) you'll
have to register to obtain access. It'll be worth it when the promised new "resources" are
released. Resources? I know what everyone's thinking: CCF files for that
impossible-to-learn equipment! Will it be so? Only time will tell.
-- Update 2:30PM --
A new Pronto IR code utility titled ProntoUtil
by Geoffrey Reynolds is now available - it generates all possible function codes for a specific
component, given the code format (selectable), carrier frequency and device code. It currently supports
equipment by Pioneer, Onkyo, Mitsubishi, Scientific Atlanta, JVC, Panasonic, and Sony, though others
can be added by editing the INI file.
That childhood favorite is back in a new Timmy video.
