I've just been given the news that Remote Central, as a site, has simply outgrown the capabilities of our current Internet provider. Although Remote Central is far from one of those "big" sites, we've still grown to over 80 gigabytes of transfers in a single month. Apparently, our current host simply can't handle that amount of traffic. And so, I've been given the difficult task of finding a new server. Although we're currently sharing a modest server with other sites, I feel that a dedicated machine would provide best results for the message forums - and I know that a few of you have already noted that the site has grown a bit slow lately.
So, what I'm basically looking for are any suggestions or recommendations on new host providers that can handle a relatively high bandwidth site. Any help in this regard would be very much appreciated.
