Begin by selecting the Component Select, System Control or Timer button you would like to modify.
To change the amount of time between macro steps, use the (-) and (+) keys to adjust the delay to a value between 100 and 900ms. Note that if you modify a Component Select key you will need to select the [INTERVAL] option before the (-) and (+) keys will appear.
To change the hold time value for Component Select keys, select the [TIME] option and then use the (-) and (+) keys to adjust the delay to a value between 0 and 2 seconds.
To change the hold time value for device keys (RM-AV3100 only), select the [KEY] option. Next, select the button would like to adjust. Keys or component labels that appear solid have no delay time, ones that flash every time have a 1 second delay, while ones that flash every other time have a 2 second delay.

If you pressed [Other], begin by selecting the Component Select button you would like to edit. Next, select the button you would like to edit and enter characters and icons using the keypad. Move the cursor position with [LEFT] and [RIGHT]. Press [CLEAR] to reset any changes and start over, or [RETURN] to save your changes and exit. Note that a space is the first character on [SYMBOL 2].
To edit the name of a component, enter the button combination above, select the component, and then hold the component’s name at the top of the screen for two seconds.

Begin by selecting the component and key you would like to place the alias on. Now, select a new component and the key with the command you would like copied. The contents of the second key selected will be placed on the first key. Repeat this process to create other aliases.
To change the label of a “fixed” LCD square, press and hold the component name at the top of the screen and repeatedly press the square you would like to change until the correct label is displayed. Now, select the component and the key with the command you would like copied.
If the remote beeps twice and flashes “NG”, that key already contains an alias and must first be reset – hold the [DEL] key at the top of the screen and press the button to reset. If the remote will not let you delete a particular button, that key contains a learned signal or key macro and must first be reset in learning mode (described earlier).
To reset all aliased buttons in a device, hold the [DEL] button and press the component name at the top of the screen. The default “MULTI” component can be reset to its original aliases by clearing the device twice in learning mode (described earlier).

If you pressed [Other], begin by selecting the component you would like to program channel macros to. Note that this function can only be applied to Television, STB and Cable devices, others will flash “NG”. Next, select the LCD Label button you would like to program the macro on. Enter up to four digits including [ENTER] on the keypad, then press the LCD label button again to save (not [COMMANDER OFF]). Your macro will flash on screen twice.
If the remote beeps two times and flashes “NG” the button already contains a learned signal or channel macro and must first be reset – hold the [DEL] key at the top and press the button to reset. If the button will not clear, it contains a learned code that must be reset in learning mode.

If you pressed [Other], begin by selecting the component you would like to program key macros to. Select the LCD button you would like to program the macro on. Next, navigate the remote and enter up to 4 commands from any of the remote’s devices. When finished, press [COMMANDER OFF] to save. The remote will play your macro back visually.
If the remote will not let you select a button to record on and will not allow you to delete it, it contains a learned signal or alias and must first be reset in learning mode (described earlier). To delete an existing key macro, hold the [DEL] key at the top and press the button to reset.

If you pressed [Other], begin by selecting the component you would like to change this setting on. Press once to enable the transmission of a Sony-only “Power On” code whenever that device is selected. The LCD will show [POWER ON] on the top left. Press again to disable this feature – the LCD will show just [POWER].
This feature cannot be combined with any other Component Select-based feature.

Press [TV] to configure all visual devices so that they use the television’s volume controls and all audio devices set to use the amplifier’s volume controls. Or, press [AMP] to configure all visual and audio devices to use the amplifier.

| Copies a Component to Another Button |

Begin by selecting the component you would like to copy. Its name will be shown at the top of the LCD screen. Then, while pressing that name, select the component hard button or LCD key you would like to copy over. Arrows will appear on screen and the remote will beep once to confirm the change.
If the remote beeps two times and flashes “NG” the component you are copying to contains a macro, learned signal or alias and must first be completely reset.
