Our CES 2006 video is now up!
Last month the world’s largest consumer electronics tradeshow was held in Las Vegas, Nevada: the 2006 International CES. This was the largest the show has ever been with over 2,500 exhibitors spread amongst 1,670,000 square feet of exhibit space. That’s a lot of walking! In all the show required four different venues: the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Las Vegas Hilton, the Sands Expo and Convention Center, plus Alexis Park. And with over 150,000 attendees, that extensive exhibit space was nonetheless consistently crowded.
As one of the most popular launching grounds for new electronics, this year’s CES had thousands of innovative products and new technologies and, of course, we also managed to find a few new universal remotes.
Today I’m very pleased to present our eighth video report, produced for the second time in widescreen high definition: the Virtual CES 2006 Tour. Just over six minutes long, this video not only highlights new and soon-to-be-released universal remote controls, but it also gives you a little taste of what it’s like to be at CES. Remotes featured include the Acoustic Research Wi-Q, the innovative Philips SRU9600, the color touchscreen Xantech XTR39, the new Monster Central Control AVL300, a sneak peak of URC’s Complete Control MX-3500, plus even more!
You’ll find links to three versions of the video on our CES 2006 report page, starting with a “small” version for dialup users, followed by a “large” version for broadband users, and finally there’s a “HDTV” version in full 720p high definition glory for extreme broadband users who want the utmost in visual quality – and also have a powerful PC for playback!
I highly recommend choosing at least the “large” version for its superior picture and sound quality over “small”. Enjoy!
