Philips PHDVR8L Features:
Supports 8 devices: component buttons on the remote are pre-labeled for TV, VCR, DVD, CBL, SAT, CD, Audio and DVR. Any key except for TV can be easily reassigned to a different type of component.
Lots of buttons: the PHDVR8L features an incredible 56 buttons - 45 of them usable for in-device functions. In total, up to 360 functions can be controlled.
Backlighting: all 56 buttons on the PHDVR8L are fully backlit with a blue electroluminescent (EL) panel (not available on the PMDVR8).
Slim lightweight design: only 3 ounces in weight and barely over three-quarters of an inch thick.
Code database: includes an extensive database of preprogrammed infrared codes for cable boxes, CD players, digital video recorders, DVD players, DVD recorders, HDTV receivers, home automation devices, laserdisc players, receivers, satellite receivers, televisions (including plasma, LCD and flat panels), VCRs, and combo units (such as TV/DVD and HTIB). Codes can be searched by component or brand.
Infrared learning: means you can fill in missing functions or entire devices by capturing signals from the device's original remote control.
Macros: the PHDVR8L supports three macros with up to 10 commands each. Delays of up to 9 seconds can be added between steps.
Punchthroughs: volume punchthroughs can be set to always control the volume of a single device, or split between two different devices. An automatic punchthrough maps the last accessed transport buttons under certain other devices.
Sleep timer: can be configured to automatically turn off a television after a 1 through 99 minute delay.
IR transmitter finder: flashes when infrared is detected.
