I’m very pleased to announce that last night, at 9:27 PM Eastern time, a major milestone was reached here at Remote Central – the
one millionth post was made to our forums!
Several months ago we mentioned that the one millionth poster would receive the highly coveted custom tagline of “One In A Million”. And the winner is – drum roll please... JoeyCes, who joined in May of 2004! Of course, Joey all but ensured his place in history by making 6 out of the 7 posts leading up to the one millionth!
I would like to thank everyone who has participated in the forums and helped us achieve this landmark – that’s one million posts down, let’s start working on the next million!
As a technical note, if you look at the raw post number of 1,000,671, you’ll of course notice that it’s above one million – however that doesn’t take into account deleted posts. And, if you’re similarly thinking that in all these years we’ve only had to delete 671 posts (spammers would never let us off that lightly), everything was “compressed” when we converted over to the new forum system.
I was at work!
