Marantz has released a new edition of RC5000 Setup v2.0 which almost fixes
the backwards/forwards page jumping bug. On soft LCD buttons you must add a command
before the
jump, otherwise the remote will to produce a "corrupt CCF" error when displaying that panel.
The problem also remains where it is possible to scroll back to the previous five pages, but
forwards
nine times. The new software also changes the behavior of the remote so that
pressing any hard button will active the LCD screen, and backlight if it is so enabled.
Strangely, there is absolutely no way to differentiate between installed copies of this and the
older version. The file sizes, time stamps, dates and internal version numbers all appear identical --
but this version works while the previous one did not. However, the installation archive file
size has changed from 4,961,502 to 4,938,639 bytes. If you have the old version we recommend
downloading the new package and re-installing it.
Note: you cannot update a Philips Pronto with Marantz RC5000 firmware!
