Network outage. Construction workers cut a major OC3 line late Tuesday
morning, shattering the fiber-optic carrier. It was decided by MFS/WorldCom to
replace the entire line, which carries the traffic of 30 T3s, rather than
attempt to simply patch it. This took over 12 hours to complete. I apologize for
the outage -- to make sure something like this doesn't happen again my provider
informs me they will be getting a backup connection.
As a side note, I've tweaked my CCF a bit more with the addition of a
few new button shapes. These are simply modifications of existing ones,
but I find they can help visually tie related functions together.
If you'd like one of my existing buttons in a larger horizontal size
just let me know.
