At approximately 3:30AM Remote Central dropped off the net – and believe me, I noticed! Although I initially suspected that something had gone wrong with the server, especially that RAID hard drive that had died at one point and then magically restored itself when the server was moved, after the ISP investigated the problem it turned out that a port on the switch that the server is connected to had gone bad. Such is the problem with new equipment that hasn’t proven itself yet!
The server is now (3:27PM) connected to a new port and, since everything was running merrily all by itself during this, no data was lost and it's all good to go.
