Weaknesses: 1) It does not work well with "Sylvania" televisions, (they seem to be made strictly for their own remotes). We had to try all of the possible combinations before we came up with two that would make it work, and none of these were Sylvania. 2) For the last 2 days (since Feb 19/04) we have not been able to download the updates, and cannot get into "Guide Remote"'s location. Have they gone out of business, and if so, is there another location where a person can download the TV updates? Review: Loved it up until 2 days ago. Strengths: Upgradability Ease of use back light guide information Ease of programing devices Review: I found that this remote was a very powerful "GOD" controll. It was as simple as pointing the remote at my tv,vcr,dvd,cable box and answering yes to program it. The added benifit I found has been the upgradability of the device codes via the internet. The guide information is A nice benfit when it comes to sitting and decideing what to watch. i like the idea of being able to scroll through the listings to see what is on tv, with the remote.
